Redhollow Forge and the Eastern Mine Plan

Session 12 · 28 March 2026

We reached the entrance to the and were met by a flaming skull’s fireball. It took us a while to bring it down, but Tess used the old bellows to coat it in coal dust, Vaelis finished the job with fire bolt, and we soaked the remains in holy water so it could not return.

Inside, we encountered a hostile ghost wizard who may have been named . Vaelis handed him one of our scrolls, and that was enough to turn the meeting around. Kaldrek offered old books and safe passage past his undead, but only if we dealt with the guardian in the adjacent workshop. That guardian turned out to be a huge floating eye. We convinced it that the mine had been abandoned for centuries and that its shift was over, and it actually believed us and vanished without a fight.

In the workshop, we found a green flame in a brazier that could temporarily enchant a weapon, so we used it on Ilyra Ashmark’s sword. We also claimed two magical items: Bromm Coppervein took , and Ilyra Ashmark took , armor that protects against dragon breath. Kaldrek kept his word and gave us an old mine plan pointing east toward a dwarven temple.

Near a rift, we found fresh tracks and signs of digging, proof that someone has been active here recently. We rested afterward, with still missing, and now we are ready to follow those tracks.
